I got engaged when I was 15 and we saved up really hard for a party in the local village hall, but only our friends that lived in the village turned up, at that age no one had cars and there weren't any buses, I was upset because I felt the party was a bit of a flop! We bought food and drinks for a buffet and hired a disco but because their was so few people no one was dancing, I went home crying to my dad, telling him how rubbish my party was and how upset i was that not many people had turned up and no one was dancing. (Now at this point my dad and my future 'in-laws' hadn't met each other) My dad decided he was going to 'get the party started'!. He came over in dressed up to the nines... IN DRAG! He had on one of My step-mother's dresses, bright make up and hob nail boots, and that is how I had to introduce him to the in-laws!! He made everyone get up on the dance floor and he started a food fight!! He really made it a night to remember
